This is not something where you can simply go to your distro's software manager and install LibreWolf.
What are the downsides? There are two main ones I can name. If you want to look under hood with "about:config", then you will discover a bunch of privacy and security-focused settings already set up for you. What I did was create an "AppImage" folder in my "Home" folder and place the AppImage there. On the left hand side, click on "Releases" and download the AppImage version of the browser. All you need to do is to click on "Browser", then "Linux".

But by sheer coincidence, I stumbled upon a possibly viable Firefox alternative: LibreWolf. The issue is that Mozilla is a terribly run company with questionable philosophies. However, I worry that the browser market will be less diverse as Chrome and Chromium-based browsers eat away Firefox's already small marketshare. Yes, Chromium is open-source and there are also other great Chromium-based browsers like Vivaldi. While I really like Brave and the BAT token rewarding system, it is also based on Chromium.
